Understand Your Choices

The beautiful thing about God is that He gives you the freedom to live your way. He does not force you to be saved or force you to be good. It is your decision if you want to be a righteous person or a worldly person. Most people are in jail because they made the wrong choice to go against the law or hung around with the wrong crowd. After high school, we make a choice to either work or go to school. We’re about to understand why our choices matter today.

We all have opportunities in our life that could lead to something better or something worse. Before we got saved, we had the chance to attend church, watch that sermon that a friend sent to us, or read a devotional. Those are all opportunities that lead us to make our decision to have a relationship with God. Maybe some of us had a situation that made us fall to our knees and surrender to God. I wanted to know more about God after I lost my confidence in who I was. I made a choice to get saved and be filled with the Holy Ghost. I think God allowed the enemy to make me feel low about myself because He knew I would come to Him after that. God knows how He can make you surrender your life to Him, but you have to make a choice to take the next step.
As a Christian, I made a choice to read the Bible, so that I could learn how to live better for Jesus. I applied the Bible to my daily life so that I could become better as a person. If I’m going to use profane language and consume worldly entertainment, I’m choosing to follow the devil. If I make a decision to go against everything the Bible says and still go to church, I’m choosing to comfortably live in sin, but also pretending to live for Jesus. We want to live right for Jesus in our mind, but we are making choices through our actions to live for the devil. We’re making the decision to let our flesh control us instead of allowing the Holy Ghost to lead us to do better.

People talk about how they want to grow closer to God in *inserts new year*, but will not make a decision to read their Bible, watch more sermons, read devotionals, and listen to more Gospel/Christian music. We can talk about what we’re going to do all day, but if we don’t choose to do it, then it does not really matter. We want to make it to Heaven, but we are still tampering with worldly ideas, mundane items, and listening/watching profane entertainment. The Bible says “And be not conformed to this world: be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what that good is, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” (Rom.12:2) If we want to make it to Heaven, we can’t worry about this world, but we need to know how we can serve God better with our lives.

Making the wrong choices can send you to Hell. Don’t leave now! Read the rest of what I’m going to say. Having sex before marriage (fornication), profane language, cheating on your husband/wife (adultery), murdering people, being prideful, wickedness, and so much bad choices can lead you to Hell with the devil. I want us all to make it to Heaven and do the right thing for Jesus, but sadly everyone won’t make it because they are making the wrong choices. It’s time to make the right decisions to submit yourself to God. Get into your Word and pray to the Lord for what you need to work on so that you can align yourself with God’s plan. Feed yourself spiritually through Gospel/Christian music, sermons, and Christian online resources.

Don’t let the enemy fool you that going to the club, having an intoxicated mind, and cursing everyone out will get you to Heaven because you go to church. Just because you go to church does not mean you are saved. Wait Chelle, isn’t going to church a good choice? Yes, it is a good choice, but if you are going to church and not growing spiritually with God, then you are not moving in the right direction for your life. You could still go to Hell if you are just going to church. You can go to Hell for just being nice because you don’t confess with your mouth and believe with your heart that Jesus is Lord. Some Atheist are friendly, do you think that God is going to let them into the Kingdom of Heaven just because they are nice? No, because they don’t believe God is real. The most significant decision that you have to make is believing in Jesus and doing what He wants you to do from His Word.

It’s time to make a change in your choices and choose Jesus. Jesus can change your life and make you a better person. Yes, you are going to have to sacrifice your friends, your family, and some other bad habits to become whole for Jesus. Jesus made a sacrifice to die for our sins so that we could live. He made a choice to die in our place because He loves us. As Christians, we are now making an excellent decision to live and serve a great God who loved us so much that He gave his only begotten son. The enemy knows that if we make good choices to follow Jesus, then we will live in a fantastic place for eternity. It’s called Heaven.

The enemy wants you to suffer with him, so he makes you think that cursing is just words and you can make it to Heaven because “you are not perfect anyway.” You’re not perfect, but you should be aiming for perfection. You should be praying to God that He corrects your sins. Do not continue to live in sin because you’re not perfect. God can help you stop cursing if you make an effort to stop. God can help you stop being bitter and jealous if you are willing to recognize it and stop. God will never force you to make the right choice, but if you meet Him halfway, I believe He will help you become the person He wants you to be. Do not let the enemy fool you with “only God can judge me”, “I may be arrogant, drink, smoke, and curse , but I’m not perfect.” or “God still working on me even while I do what I want to do” Those are all lies from the enemy, and I send them back to the pits of Hell where they came from!

Only God can save you from evil, but He won’t force you to be saved from evil. You have to stop making bad choices to sin so that you can make it to Heaven. If you make good decisions, you will have a Loving Father that will be in front of you every step of the way,  you will become a changed man or woman, and you will get to know a GREAT God that’s known you before you were born. You will have experiences with a God that will get you through these challenging times. When Jesus comes back, You will get to meet this AMAZING GOD that you gave your life to , and you won’t regret losing those friends or those family members laughing at you for not entertaining foolishness (drinking, drugs, profane language, and fornication), and everyone that laughed or betrayed you after you gave your life to Christ.

If you’re following Jesus, continue to follow Him.

If you want to give your life to Christ right now, here’s the prayer:

Dear God, I know that I’m a sinner and I need a Savior. I believe that Jesus died for my sins and rose again. I want to turn away from my sin and live a godly life. I now invite Jesus Christ into my heart as my Lord and Savior. I am willing to follow Him as Lord of my life from this day forward. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen.

Believe this prayer in your heart and know that you are saved. If you said this prayer, please comment below! I want to see people making a choice to turn their life around to follow Jesus. If you skipped the opportunity to say the prayer, I will pray for you and hope that one day you will make a choice to follow Jesus before it’s too late.

Have a fantastic day, evening, or night! I love you all! I thank you for reading, commenting, and sharing!

Prayer: In Jesus name, we come to you right now to help us make the right choice to serve and live for You! Help us to confuse the enemy with our praises to You! Lord, we ask that You help us to stop sinning. Help us, Lord, to do your will, not our will! Thank You, Jesus, for saving those that decided to say the prayer above and believe it in their hearts! Bless those that did not make a choice to say the prayer above. Give them the mind to make an opportunity to live for You before it’s too late Jesus! Thank You, Jesus, for helping us understand how our good and bad decisions can affect our lives. We love You! In Jesus name, Amen!
