10 Christian Artist to Check Out!

Hey everybody! If you read my last post, you will know that I have been writing about God’s music which is labeled Christian/Gospel music. I really want you to know that Gospel music is not just about choirs and hymns. In this modern age, there’s so many styles in Gospel music that we need to know about. I want you to enjoy God’s music just like I am. Today, I give you a list of Gospel artist that you can add to your list or try out if you’ve never listened to Gospel music. I hope you find some artist that you will enjoy!

As I’ve said in the past post, the enemy doesn’t want you to listen to Gospel music because he knows you’ll become better. That’s the best reason to give Gospel music a try, so that you can make the enemy mad! Let’s start with this list!

  1. CASS – If you listen to CASS, you get a Pop, Hip-Hop, or R&B sound, but her lyrics are so meaningful towards God. You can tell that she’s in awe of God and wants her listeners to be in awe of God as well. If you’re a dancer, you can dance to her music and sing about the goodness of Jesus!

2. Aaron Cole – I’m a person that loves bass! I was tangled in Rap/Hip-Hop because of bass. When you listen to Aaron, you feel like you’re listening to Hip-Hop, but you’re listening to Gospel. His lyrics are about Jesus with Hip-Hop sound. Go check out these links below! You’re going to be impressed! Aaron’s music is a great way to transition from secular music to Christian music. I’ll link you to my favorite song from him below!

3. Cortes – This artist is amazing! Maybe you’re a person that loves R&B and Cortes gives you that sound. In my opinion, he’s a lyrical genius. He raps and sings about God, but it’s in a clever way. The lyrics makes a person feel like this isn’t Gospel, but it is if you listen closer to his lyrics. Do you get what I’m saying? Check the links below and you’ll see what I mean.

4. Charlene Nash – I love Charlene’s sound and her lyrics. She’s another artist that has an R&B sound and she has a heart for Jesus. What I love about Charlene’s music is that she sings about the mistakes she’s made, but through it all God continues to show her grace and love! Her music is beautiful and I’m very thankful for her obedience! Check out my favorite song from her in the links below.

5. Sstedi – I wish Sstedi had more music, but she has great songs so far. She has a R&B or a Caribbean sound. Her music is very laidback, but the lyrics shows her true love for God. She also does not excuse the mistakes she’s made and has a song where she wonders how God can still love her when she’s been a sinner. I love her music and I’m so excited for her future projects!

6. Wande – She’s a Christian rapper and has nothing but music full of bass! Her music will bring the youth to God through a Hip-Hop sound! If you or you have a child that’s into Trap/Rap music, introduce yourself/them to Wande. You won’t be disappointed in her sound and her lyrics that speaks to God!

7. Evan and Eris – These siblings are a powerhouse in their vocals. They give a R&B sound to their music and Jesus is always the main focus in their songs! I wish they had an album. Maybe this year! They have a good bit of singles for you to listen to! I’ll link my favorite song below!

8. Chris Howland – You’re always going to get a Pop/Dance sound from this artist. The lyrics to his songs are pretty powerful, but Chris has fun music to enjoy! I personally love to listen to Chris’s music when I want to hear something upbeat and fast paced!

9. Maddie Rey – I really enjoy listening to this Woman of God! Her background has always been church and it shows in her music. She really shows a love for God through her music. She has a Hip-Hop/Rock/Pop sound, but the lyrics are so moving! I can tell the Holy Ghost is important to her. Reaching the young people through her music is also important to her. Unfortunately, they took my favorite song off the music apps, so I’ll link another one that I like!

10. Jonathan Ogden – Jonathan has a soothing sound. I really don’t know what sound to catergorize it in, but it’s music that I wouldn’t be afraid to fall asleep to. I feel like I’m laying on a cloud while listening to his music. The lyrics are always moving me and gives me a deeper love for Jesus! If you’re an anxious ridden person, I bet you that this music will calm your spirit!
