In the midst of your situation, God is still working things out for you! Sometimes people find that saying cliché. People are losing hope on God’s promises because their situation looks foggy. Maybe you’re one of those people. You’re tired of dealing with financial issues, living in that same home full of mixed memories, or maybe you’re tired of life altogether. I want you to know through the foggy air, God is clearing it up for a beautiful sunshine. The days where you feel depressed, will no longer be there soon. The way that your financial issues are looking right now, won’t be like that for long.
Psalms 30:5 CEV says “Your anger lasts a little while, but your kindness lasts for a lifetime. At night we may cry, but when morning comes we will celebrate.” Focus on that last part of the scripture. You maybe crying over your situation, but it won’t last for long because God is going to get you through it.
You have been praying and wondering what is God really doing up there? Does He hear what I’m telling Him? He hears everything that you are saying. Understand this, everything that you’ve been praying for does not come overnight. It takes time to get those great things you’ve been praying for. It could take days or years to get what you desire or need. As you wait for God to work on your life, ask Him to give you patience and strength to endure.
“The Lord isn’t slow about keeping his promises, as some think he is.”(2 Peter 3:9 CEV) God is patient and He takes His time to create great works. Don’t be in a hurry to get to the next setting of your life. You don’t want to become disobedient to God’s will for you because of impatience. If you’re going to trust God, know that there is always a timing for certain things to happen in your life, yes even with your finances.
I’ve learned that while God is at work, He is teaching me a valuable lesson through this waiting season. It could be how to become wise with finances, how to be patient with other people, or learning that I have a wicked trait in me that needs to be released. When you begin to look at your waiting season differently, that’s when you begin to notice the promises that are coming. God has not forgotten about you my friend, He knows what you need and desire very well.
You fail to understand that there is a process connected to your situation. In order to get to a better job, better house, or financial stability, you have to learn the ropes in the process. There’s a process to attending college. You fill out college applications and then fill out for financial aid, go to classes for four or five years, and with that diploma, you are eligible to get your dream job. Just like there’s a process to attend school, there’s a process to getting out of your situation.
While you are in this process, you should be asking God, “what should I do while I wait?” Is there something that you should be working on or tending to? If you’re a parent, maybe you’ve lost your job because God wanted to show you that your child(ren) needed your time. You were working too hard and wasn’t realizing that your child(ren) needed your attention. Losing your job wasn’t a punishment, but it was a way for you to finally notice your child(ren).
God is working harder than you think, but you are thinking about yourself all the time. You never take the time to watch how God is working because you haven’t seen the bigger picture yet. Everyday He’s showing you how He’s working on your situation in the smallest way. But you don’t care about the small progress, you want the finished product already.
Take a look at your situation right now, think about the tiny moments of how God helped you. Maybe you were completely broke and one of your family or friends randomly gave you $20. That’s progress in your situation. The day before, you had no money and no clue how you were going to eat, but you have $20 now. This scenario makes me think about in Exodus, where Moses was leading the people of Israel out of Egypt and The Lord blessed them with manna. They had to eat the manna in that day or it wouldn’t be good the next day. God kept blessing the people with manna every day and they were still ungrateful (Exodus 16). It’s a shame how you continue to bicker that “God isn’t working” or “He doesn’t hear me”, but you aren’t grateful for what’s in front of you. You’re not grateful for the progress you are making right now. As I said above, you only think about yourself. Don’t you know that God promised that He would never leave you nor forsake you?
See, you’re being fooled by the enemy that God isn’t working. He whispers in your ear saying “God don’t care about you. He gave up on you a long time ago.” You believe that don’t you? The devil takes your eyes off of gratitude because when you are grateful or content with what you have, then you know how to wait on God during your situation. Don’t let the enemy fool you that God is not working. He’s working!
The Bible says in Isaiah 40:28 GNB “Don’t you know? Haven’t you heard? The LORD is the everlasting God; he created all the world. He never grows tired or weary. No one understands his thoughts.” Our God doesn’t go to sleep, He’s working all the time on your situation. Don’t you ever forget that! Think about all the times God got you through your previous situations. Didn’t He come through for you? That’s what I thought. He’ll get you through this situation too.
In Deuteronomy 8:4, Moses reminds the people of Israel that over 40 years in the wilderness, God did not allow their clothes to wear out or their feet to swell. Now look at your life, what did God keep you from? Did He keep you from getting evicted? Did He allow you to escape that unhealthy relationship? You don’t have to say nothing. God has kept you from many things that you deserved, and it was because of His grace. He’s going to continue to keep you while you are in this situation. He promised you that He was going to see you through this.
Hold your head up high and understand that your life is not over yet. God is going to give you a breakthrough in His timing. God’s timing is always the best timing my friends. Keep holding on, no matter what you are facing. This situation is temporary. Whatever God has promised you, hold onto that. He is not a promise breaker; however, He is a promise keeper!
I pray that this post has encouraged you to hold tight to God. Continue to communicate with Him. Praise and worship Him in all of His great ways. He deserves to hear your praises. He wants to be glorified through you! Tell the Lord how much you love Him. Be grateful for what you do have. Stop concentrating on what you don’t have. I love you all! Have a great week! Thank you for reading and sharing!
Prayer: Lord, we thank You for all the things that You blessed us with! Thank You for supplying all of our needs. Thank you for the desires that You have already supplied us with. We ask that You fix our minds on contentment. Help us to be patient for the promises that You are working on in our lives. Thank You for caring for us in the midst of the storm. We couldn’t survive without You. Remind us that You are always working on our situations. For those that do not see Your works in their lives, make it visible. We love You Jesus! You are GREAT and You are mighty! There is not one person on this Earth that is like YOU! In Jesus name, Amen!
Psalms 37: 24-25 CEV: The Lord will hold your hand, and if you stumble, you still won’t fall. As long as I can remember, good people have never been left helpless, and their children have never gone begging for food.
