During my break, I kept listening to a song called God by Noble. I’ve listened to the song before, but for some reason, it hit differently this time. I was allowing myself to focus on my circumstances more than God Himself, and this song brought my attention back to Him. The chorus said “Focus on God. He won’t ever let you down. Focus on God. Plant yourself in Holy ground.” The whole song is lovely, but I meditated on the chorus for a while. If I focus on God, He will bring me peace, joy, love, gentleness, and so many other things. He will never let me down and the Bible tells me that in Deuteronomy 31:6. When the artist said, “plant yourself in Holy ground”, I saw this as staying in God’s Word and His Presence. If I am rooted in Christ, my circumstances won’t bother me as much. Once I take my eyes off of God, I start to realize that I don’t have the things I desire. I allow the enemy to toil with my brain and forget about the truth of God.
Isn’t that sad? We could plant ourselves in Christ for the week, and the one day that we don’t, we allow the enemy to remind us about all of our problems. We start to focus on the problems instead of God. We become even more disappointed because we realize God didn’t answer that three-year-old prayer yet. We start to think that He’s forgotten about us or if He is a promise keeper like He says. When the thoughts start to rush in your brain about God, catch them and throw them away. This is how you throw away those dark thoughts, “God take my dark thoughts away, You’re a Promise Keeper. You haven’t forgotten about me. I give my concerns to You! Amen!” That’s it! It shows the enemy that you aren’t falling for his tired schemes anymore.
God is GREAT and He always will be. We just have to refresh ourselves in God’s Word daily. We don’t have time to take a break from reading His Word. The enemy is prowling around like a lion, ready to devour us. (1 Peter 5:8). Especially those of us who are continually spending time with God. He wants us to stop and give up, but we SHALL NOT GIVE UP! (Gal. 6:9).
We will keep going because Jesus will take care of all of our needs. We also have to remind ourselves, the reason why our prayers are unanswered, because it is simply not the time. (Ecc.3:11). We are not here for blessings on blessings. We are here with a divine purpose to bring glory to God’s name. We are here to lead souls to Christ through our purpose or calling. We are here to bless the Lord’s name. When you start to wonder why you are here, always return back to Jesus. He will redirect you to where you’re supposed to be on this Earth.
The song ‘God’ reminded me that my life is for God. It’s not about the blessings and great gifts that our Father gives. It’s simply about who He is. It’s about how GREAT he is, even when I’m not great. God is the reason that I have the desires in my heart. He is the reason why I am living right now. It’s not because of my alarm clock. It’s because of God and He wants to gain glory from my life. Matter of fact, all of our lives.
After listening to this song repeatedly, I prayed that God would help me to focus on Him, rather than my circumstances. There’s a lot of things that I desire, and would like to have, but I need to realize that it isn’t time yet. He’s an amazing Father, and He wants to make sure I’m in the right position to receive those things that I am asking for. He wants to clean me up, so that I won’t destroy the blessing with my deceiving heart.
Today, I want to remind you to focus on God again. Keep your eyes on Him every day! Don’t skip a day because you don’t feel like you need Him. The truth is that we need Him every day, so we shouldn’t allow ourselves to skip time without God. If we don’t focus on Jesus Christ, we are going to be worn out by the enemy and his schemes. I’m grateful for the song that I am writing about today. It gave me a lot to think about, and I pray that when you listen to it, the Holy Spirit will minister to you about your situation.
Don’t give up lovely people! God is going to turn things around for us, but we must focus on Him. Even when we receive what we prayed for; I pray that we stay planted in the Holy ground. I pray that this blog boosted your faith and encouraged you to keep walking towards the Father!
Have an amazing week lovely people!

Prayer: Lord, thank You for reminding us to focus on You! We don’t want to depend on our circumstances. Our circumstances will always fail us, but not You! You will always give us what we need. You will continue to pour Your love on our lives. You will give us a new perspective on our situations. Help us to fight off the enemy’s lies about You and our lives. Nothing that he says is true. Help us to remember that in our moments of what seems to be hopeless. Help us to plant ourselves in You, so that we can bring forth good fruit. John 15:5 tells us that You are the vine and we are the branches. Without You we can do nothing. Help us to pay attention to You who lead our lives. Lord thank You for keeping us! We love You! In Jesus name, Amen!
John 15:4 NKJV – Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
